A bit about myself

We are all shaped by the environments we grow up in, often more than we realize. Born and raised in Kolkata, India, I found my connection with nature not within the city, but through countless journeys beyond it. My parents, both lovers of the outdoors, filled my childhood with travels into forests, mountains, and riversides — places where silence spoke louder than words and every detail felt alive.

With a camera in hand, I began to see the world differently — not just as landscapes and animals, but as stories unfolding in real time. Today, that spark continues to guide me, driving me to capture the beauty, the behaviour, and the delicate details of the wild.

Where it all began

The spark came from my father, who nurtured in me a deep respect for nature. At the age of five, I received my first camera, and that gift changed the way I saw the world. What started as a childhood fascination grew into a serious pursuit when I was seventeen, shaping not only my craft but also my perspective on life.

What Defines Me

As an engineer, I value structure, precision, and problem-solving. As a photographer, I embrace patience, storytelling, and connection with nature. Together, these sides of me shape the way I work, create, and live. I strive to stay grounded, curious, and open to learning — whether I’m building solutions in my professional career or waiting quietly in the wild for a perfect frame.

Beyond Photography

Who I am goes beyond titles and roles. I am someone who values authenticity, growth, and connection. My photography is not just about capturing wildlife — it’s about sharing a piece of how I see the world, so others can pause, reflect, and perhaps feel a little closer to nature too.
